On Thursday Home Secretary Suella Braverman met with Hillsborough families to brief them on the Government’s response to Bishop’s James Jones’ 2017 report into the Hillsborough disaster.

It’s a disgrace that it has taken five and a half years for the Government to respond. I was promised by the current lord chancellor I would receive a response by Christmas 2021. Coming five and a half years after the report, it shows the Government’s indifference. The Tories have had 4 home secs since they promised a reply.

interested MPs have been offered a meeting with the Home Secretary “in a few weeks”, but I am not optimistic the Government will agree to enact the Hillsborough Law.
