It was fantastic to be at the re-opening of STEC alongside Lord Mayor Mary Rasmussen. As many of you will know I have had my office in STEC for years, where I’ve seen first hand the hard work that Mark Ord and the management team and trustees have put into helping people from right across Speke and beyond.

The re-opening ceremony wasn’t just about unveiling plaques to commemorate the occasion, it was about celebrating all that it has done in the past while looking forward to what it will continue to do in the future. We heard about it’s history and Mark Ord singled out attendees that STEC has helped and what they had gone on to achieve. It has helped literally thousands of people to get on in life, and I am proud to have played a small part in supporting them.
