I was pleased to attend the Labour Party Conference in Brighton, and to tour the wide variety of stalls and exhibitors in the conference centre itself. They covered a range of issues, from the environment and our armed forces to LGBT+ rights, farming and justice for families bereaved by COVID-19. To see so many people campaigning passionately for these different issues is always inspiring and it was great to add my voice to some of these campaigns.
While in Brighton I also spoke at some fringe events, including Labour Coast and Countryside’s excellent fringe and the very well attended LME Labour for a European Future event. The importance of the latter could not be better illustrated by the fuel supply chain problems that left many delegates and attendees nervously eyeing their fuel tanks before long drives home.
It was great to spend time with our Garston and Halewood delegates and see friends and colleagues from across the city. See you here in Liverpool for next year’s event!
