This week alongside the Liverpool MPs, I wrote to the Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, regarding the current situation surrounding BTEC exams. Whilst GCSE and A Level exams have been formally cancelled, no support has been given to schools and colleges that provide BTEC qualifications. It’s vital that vocational students are treated equitably with GCSE and A Level students. We all want to avoid the chaos that resulted from the Governments failure over exam results last year.
