On Monday 12th October the Prime Minister announced that the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens, Sefton, Halton) will be placed under the ‘Very High’ (Tier Three) local alert level.

Under this new level of restriction, pubs will have to close down unless they are service “substantial food.” Gyms, fitness/dance studios, sports facilities, leisure centres, betting shops, adult gaming centres and casinos. The new restrictions will come into force on Wednesday

While its so important that we take action to halt the exponential rise in COVID cases locally, I’m really concerned that the Government aren’t providing enough support to prevent big job losses and business shutdowns, and will continue to push the Prime Minister on this.
