I asked the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, about the decision to allow over 3,000 Atletico Madrid fans to travel to Anfield for a Champions League match in March when they couldn’t watch their team in Madrid because it was a coronavirus hotspot.

There’s now a higher than average instance of covid-19 in Liverpool compared with England and the rest of the UK. I called for the government to investigate whether there is a link between our higher infection rates and the game being allowed to go ahead.

You can read my question and the Secretary of State’s pathetic response here.

I spoke with the Liverpool Echo about the decision to let the match go ahead, you can read the full article here.
