I want to send my warmest congratulations to Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner for being elected the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Labour Party – the two candidates both I and Garston & Halewood nominated.

This is a tough time for our country, but they are the right team to lead our party, and go on to lead our country.

I look forward to working with them to bring about the next Labour Government my constituents in Garston & Halewood desperately need.
