On Monday I questioned the Secretary of State for Health on what the Government is doing to protect the people of Liverpool from coronavirus now that Arrowe Park Hospital in the Wirral is being used to quarantine suspected cases. So far the Tories have only explained their strategy to one Wirral MP. Watch his long-winded answer in the video above.

Questioning the Secretary of State for Health on Coronavirus

I questioned the Secretary of State for Health on what the Government are doing to protect the people of Liverpool from coronavirus. So far the Tories have only explained their strategy to one Merseyside MP. Watch his long winded answer in the video below. 👇The Minister explained what will happen should people from the coronavirus quarantine at Arrowe Park need to be treated at Royal Liverpool Hospital. I was asking for more transparency and better information which MPs should have been given last week!

The Minister explained what will happen should someone be diagnosed with coronavirus Arrowe Park and need to be treated at Royal Liverpool Hospital. While he did address some of the issues I raised it is obvious that MPs need transparency and better information which should have been provided weeks ago.

It is also bitterly ironic that the Minister recognised the world-class work carried out by staff at the Royal in his answer and has swiftly put our hospital on the front line of the Coronavirus response given how slow the Government have been when it comes to saving our new Royal hospital building from the mess of the Carillion collapse.
