Last week Boris Johnson and his cabinet of Brexiteers attempted to bring back the deal he negotiated with the EU. He was defeated as MPs saw through his lies and games.

Boris' Deal – Update

Today Boris Johnson and his cabinet of Brexiteers are bringing back the deal he negotiated with the EU ⬇️👇. This deal is just a rehash of the one Theresa May tried to get through the Commons before. The only difference is that it will be worse for the country and worse for my constituents who’ve already been hard hit by 9 years of Tory austerity. That’s why I won’t be voting for it. Today marks critical point in what happens next. Watch below to find out more.

The deal he put before MPs is just a rehash of the one Theresa May tried to get through the Commons on a number of occasions. The only difference is that it will be worse for the country and worse for my constituents who’ve already been hard hit by 9 years of brutal Tory austerity. That’s why I voted against it.

Mr Johnson then tried exactly the same tactic as his predecessor and attempted to bring back the same deal to be voted on again. The Speaker of the House John Bercow rightly stopped him. The PM cannot be allowed to bash MPs over the head with his deal over and over until he gets what he wants.

Now Johnson is now calling for a General Election which he thinks he can win and go onto push through whatever deal he likes. Whilst I am keen to remove the Tories as soon as possible I do not think the Labour Party should simply give him what he wants. He must learn that he cannot get his way now that he has lost his majority and his authority in the Commons.

With the EU granting a three-month brexit extension today the Commons now has time to consider all the options and find a way out of this mess. Labour should not give Johnson what he wants. A General Election is fast approaching but will most likely be in early 2020. When Labour wins we must call for a peoples vote with Remain as an option so we can settle the brexit question once and for all.
