This week I signed the GMB Union‘s Work to Stop Domestic Abuse Employer Charter, the union’s campaign to make sure all workplace have the support in place for victims of domestic violence.

Awareness of the impact of domestic abuse and support for survivors from management in workplaces can play a vital part not only in encouraging people to seek help, but making sure it’s available when they do.

Stephanie Peacock MP chaired the launch of the charter in the House of Commons, where we heard from members of the union about their own experiences and the important part a work place policy on the issue can be. Thank you to all the members who bravely shared their experiences. I’m proud to support this campaign.
