I’m proud to support the Daily Mirror campaign to formally recognise the service of our nuclear test veterans. It was a privilege to meet many of the family members and back their campaign.

Many have since lost their lives due to the work that they carried out in the 1950s testing nuclear bombs in the South Pacific. They were given no protective clothing, and many of their relatives still live with the effects today.
