I met with Dr Raymond Lang from Leonard Cheshire Disability to discusstheirMake CareFaircampaign. They are campaigning to end rushed 15 minute personal care visits which rob too many people of dignified and compassionate care.

Under the Tory Government social care is being chronically underfundedmeaning over 12,000 people across England are still receiving ‘flying’ 15-minute personal care visits.

The charity has long campaigned against the use of 15-minute personal care visits to support people with basic needs such as washing, dressing and eating. Short visits simply do not leave enough time for meaningful interactions and high quality care.

Goodcare transforms disabled people’s lives for the better. The Government must take action now to make these visits a thing of the past and give all disabled people the care and dignity they deserve.
