The Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Kennedy, Merseyside MPs and I have been lobbying the Government for extra the resources and funding Merseyside Police urgently need to deal with the increasing levels of Gun Crime we’re witnessing on our streets.

Last month, Home Office Ministers assured me that they would be sending a package of support very shortly. This still hasn’t arrived.

Until it does, we’ll continue to keep the pressure on the Government to come up with theextra money promised.
