Employment tribunal fees, introduced by the Tory/Lib Dem coalition in 2013, has meant that people claiming against an unfair dismissal or discrimination at work are now expected to pay to hear their case heard.

Shockingly, since then the number of people bringing their case to a tribunal has dropped by almost 70%.

Today, I confronted the Minister for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy with the fact that many women subject to maternity discrimination at work can’t access their right to a fair tribunal because of these fees.
